Plain Cookies

Ingredients (15 cookies)

Butter 50 gram
Egg yolk 1
Sugar 40 gram
Cake flour 120 gram
Salt A pinch


How to Prepare

1.Leave the butter to room temperature and swift until smooth

2.Add the sugar and salt to the butter and mix well

3.Add the egg yolk and mix well

4.Sift flour into the dough and mix well with a spatula. Make sure there are no lumps of flour.

5.After the dough is partially mixed, switch over to your hands. This will make it easier to mix everything together. Once mixed, wrap it with plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

6.Place the dough between plastic wraps and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to about 5 mm

7.Remove the plastic wrap and use a cookie cutter to shape the dough. If the cookie cutter sticks to the dough, put a bit of flour onto it. This will prevent the dough from sticking.

8.Place the dough onto wax paper and use a fork to make some holes. This will prevent the cookie from blowing up.

9.Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake for 20 minutes.

10.Cool on rack and now you’re done!
